5 things...

1. Finally a picture of some knitting. The Seaman's Cap made with Ultra Alpaca from Berroco. I love to knit this hat. It's quick and easy and oh so warm!

2. It's been quite snowy and cold here in the Northeast. We had two days of Lake Effect which dropped 2-3 feet of snow. Then we had freezing drizzle and then more snow. What occurred in the surrounding hills was a gift of pure beauty. My boys were tired of me stopping the car and making them look at the trees. The sky was very grey and the trees were crystal white. Ryan finally declared that "this is what Narnia would look like!"

3. We saw an old friend this weekend. A woman that had been in a horrific car accident a year ago. The boys know her as the "lady at the library and Stevie's grandma." She wasn't expected to live yet, walked into the hockey rink to see her grandson play. Ryan was excited to see her and said as much to her. I was pretty proud of him, knowing that it made our friend and Ryan feel good.

4. I'm reading The Little Stranger by Sarah Waters. It's a great read and was on many top ten lists last year. I highly recommend it.

5. I've been attacking the lists this week. Weeding out and donating unwanted and unused items around the house. I need to do it when my husband is off at work, otherwise, nothing would ever be given away.

Here's to a productive week!

I can see why you kept wanting to stop and take pictures...those trees are beautiful! And I somehow I hadn't heard of that book yet...putting it on the list. Thanks for sharing!

Cute hats and great pics of the snow... it really IS pretty. It stinks that it has to be so cold, though... (love the story about the library lady, too - so glad to hear she's OK!)

Beautiful. Thanks for sharing. And Ryan and I are on the same page as far as this winter's concerned! It's Narnia all over the place – even if we're worlds (well, almost) apart.

Good luck on the weedling out!

i'm attacking things around here this week, too. but my giveaway and toss out piles are just not big enough.
