We interrupt this movie called "Life", to update the blog. Thank goodness because I really dislike taking the garbage cans in.
Boy, it's been awhile since I've been here. The days are getting longer and the birds are chirping in the morning. Maybe Spring is going to come after all. So, let's get on with it!
1. I'm in LOVE with this product. I decided I need to do something, anything to soften the lines. I remember my mom at my age doing the same with Oil of Olay. She always proclaimed that if she was going to have lines they might as well be soft ones. I've been using both the day and night formula and really think it's helping or at least that's what I keep telling myself.
2. I've been making better meals now that hockey is over. I've made this and this. And these muffins. Okay, I admit, they aren't really healthy meals....I made adjustments with substituting whole milk with skim and the cream of chicken soup was nonfat. Still, they were quite yummy. Plus, I had a bonus of the kids eating real mac and cheese versus the blue box.
3. The boys have made me happy in the last few weeks. Well, they always make me happy. Let's just say the hormones have been quiet. Skiing has been good for them.
4. I'm currently reading "Last Child in the Woods", by Richard Louv. So, so good. It reaffirms my belief that we need to live where we do.
5. 38 days until vacation....can't wait!

Where are you going? That last picture looks very promising.
Thanks for the book tip, sounds like something for me. Though I don't know if we qualify, living 12 metro-minutes from city centre.
Good to see you again! Glad to hear the hormones are being quiet...
sounds like you have found a *calm* there! so good! the recipes look oh so deliscious!
vacation...i soooo need one! i'd be counting down too :-)
Ditto on many of these things... and thanks for the book recommendation! I'll keep an eye out for it. HUG FRIEND!
The muffin recipe looks so good! I am printing it, and will make some this afternoon. My daughter has been doing a lot of snowboarding this winter w/the school ski club too.
Oooooh, so many good tips and ideas here! But I need one more: what is that cool vacation picture? (Um... not that I'd turn stalker or anything...)
Anna and Rachel- the vacation picture was taken in Seaside Beach, FLorida. We vacation there every Spring. It's where the movie"The Truman Story", with Jim Carey was filmed.
hehe, i relate to that! seems i am the only one ever home when the garbage needs to go out to the street and be brought back in! hate it! the food looks yummy and the book interesting. Wow, what a great thing to look forward to, lovely warm tropical weather!!!
how time flies - i remember reading about your florida vacation here last year. I have not read that book but after watching my kids run and explore through many acres of woods around our home all week long I know that we, too, need to stay where we are. Only 35 days left!
Oooh, I've been wanting to try Boots since ET touted it as the magic elixir. Good to know that you like it too.
Ah, Florida, thanks. Looks great.
I ordered the book! And when I told my husband he thought I'd lost my mind, "But you can't possibly read that?! It sounds like the scariest book in the world!". I had to show him the cover to calm him down, he was sure I'd ordered something very creepy and horror-esque...
Have a good weekend!
