Two Down

and two to go! A while back I participated in a pay-it-forward activity on FB. I commented on one of my friends notes and she made me something. The hitch, I needed to make something for five other people.
Our yearly trip to Florida was fast approaching and being the ambitious person that I am (all of you who know me, please stop laughing now!), I set to work and made this Amy Butler hat for my sister-in-law. One down and four to go. That was back in April.

The person who started all of this, for me, was Kerstin. She sent me these beautiful reading gloves. I wear them everywhere and have had so many nice compliments when people see them. So, since she fulfilled her end of the bargain, I knew I needed to get started.

So, the Wisps are growing.

And so is my Nuss from Berroco. I'm using Debbie Bliss Luxury Tweed instead of Berroco Blackstone Tweed . The back is almost done. It's an easy knit which I take to the hockey rink with me. Although, with my husband not traveling as much anymore my rink time has been cut dramatically. Sorta feels strange....

What a great banner with the little bird!

This is such a nice idea. Those mitts and wisps are so lovely. I finally got to see the Blackstone Tweed in person yesterday, and it looks like it would be so nice to work with. Enjoy your weekend!

I agree, the mitts are so lovely and the wisps are so delicate and vibrant.

Can't wait to see the Nuss, really like the tweed yarn.

Don't you love how it just blows all those men in the rink's minds when you start knitting? It confuses them so profoundly, it just cracks me right up. (And btw, how come there aren't any moms in my rink?) Anyway, your pile of gifts is beautiful! The recipients will be thrilled!

I really like your autumn banner, it's very pretty.

Great knits, the Nuss in that colour will be gorgeous. Happy knitting!

Oh, I'm reading that book right now! And I wanted the calendar from Ilee, but was too late. Nice to have things in common with strangers.

As you can tell, I'm really enjoying your blog. I'm intrigued by "reading gloves". I've never heard this description before...is it because they are fingerless and page turning is possible?

well, hello there...

I thought I might start writing again.  Not sure what I will want to talk about.  The guys have their own lives and are making...
