Not Standing Still

My list of things to do is growing ever longer with each new project I see out in Internet world. It's so exciting to see all the spring colors popping up on every one's blogs.

I bought new fabric this weekend to make a few more totes. I think cutting out the fabric pieces takes longer than the actual sewing.

I continued to work on my Lace Ribbon Scarf by Veronik Avery. This lace pattern appeals to me. It's just enough so I don't end up in a confused mess! What is even better is that I'm using yarn from my stash (Schaefer Anne) that I bought many, many years ago. I got it when I first started to knit socks. It has subtle shades of blue and really makes the whole scarf.

I decided to participate in the series Still this week. Hopefully, I can keep up with it. Today's entry is my chair. I love to sit on the front porch early in the morning and drink my coffee. I watch the runners and bikers out for their early morning exercise and slowly the neighborhood comes alive without even knowing that I'm watching. Then the boys get up and all hell breaks loose!

Lastly, this little guy was sitting outside my family room window the other day. He looked cold and confused as the wind and snow swirled around him. We all know the feeling Mr. Sparrow!

Oh, I'm making the same scarf! I love it! (Though I wish there was an easier way to know when it's time to switch from left to right slants - I hate having to keep the chart with me, and keep track of rows... that bugs me.) But your yarn is gorgeous! I'm thinking it might be a GREAT way to use up some of my sock stash...

I love the a.m. thing, too. I'm a firm believer in getting a jump on the kids every day. If they wake up first, it just wrecks the whole day, doesn't it?

up very early this am. savoured every minute of "my time" :)
hope it will be warm enough for your porch soon!

Rachel, I too wish there was a way to figure out where I was on this scarf without carrying my chart around. I am loving this pattern though, I'm not very good at lace and this seems to be my speed. I do love mornings, especially in the summer, but am looking forward to the days when my teenagers "sleep-in."

Sara- You must be exhausted by now. Did I see that you were up at 3:30 AM today!!! Way to early!

well, hello there...

I thought I might start writing again.  Not sure what I will want to talk about.  The guys have their own lives and are making...
