Making

I made bread. Now, I know for some of you this is an everyday occurrence for you and your family. Me-not so much. I used to make it all the time when I was single (yeah...don't ask) and when the boys were young. Now that times are busier I find it hard to fit into my schedule.
But, a recent trip to the farmer's market, led us to a bread man. He had such good sourdough bread that I knew I needed to try again.
Everything was going perfectly until I needed to remove the plastic over the bread rising in the pan. I forgot to oil the plastic, and yes, the bread stuck to it and quickly deflated when I pulled it off.
I baked it anyway, knowing the outcome was going to be a brick.
It's still tasty, toasted with butter and jam.
Over the weekend, I will attempt this process again.
I'm sure to be fifty pounds heavier by the time I have this bread making thing mastered.

On an unrelated note. I'm waiting for this yarn to arrive to start this. So much for not buying any yarn for awhile!

I used to make bread too and somehow fell out of the habit. You've inspired me to give it a go again.

And Quince Tern is so fab! Which color will you be using?

I gave up bread-making, too... lack of time, probably? But it is so yummy it's worth picking up again. Can't wait to hear about the Quince yarn and how you like it!

How funny! I've been on a bread making kick lately too, after a LONG hiatus (18 years?). Still getting the hang of it, but my third batch was good. Love Quince's line of yarn too! Can't wait to see what you do with it.

This bread image is magnificent. I like the yarn and cardi too. I haven't done much knitting lately. You are making me miss holding the needles.

well, hello there...

I thought I might start writing again.  Not sure what I will want to talk about.  The guys have their own lives and are making...
